<image:title>Dr Lize Andrews - Dr Lize Andrews</image:title>
<image:caption>Principal Clinical Psychologist, Director, BPsych (Hons), DPsychClin, MAPS Dr Lize Andrews is a Clinical Psychologist and Director at E&A, with over a decade of experience supporting individuals across the lifespan—children, adolescents, and adults—through various mental health challenges. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Queensland and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Medicare Australia. Lize is also a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the APS College of Clinical Psychologists. Lize supports clients experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety (such as social anxiety, phobias, generalised anxiety, OCD, and trauma), parenting and relationship challenges, and postnatal adjustment. She also works with individuals with neurodivergent brain styles, including Autism and ADHD, using a strengths-based and respectful approach that values neurodiversity. Her approach is warm, neuroaffirming, and person-centred—creating a space where individuals and families feel understood and supported. As a mother of three, Lize brings compassion, real-world understanding, and a practical lens to her work with parents and families. She is particularly passionate about supporting people through the transitions of parenthood and helping them navigate the emotional challenges that can arise during the postnatal period. Lize draws on a range of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema based approaches, and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). She is also a provider of the Triple P – Positive Parenting Program. Her clinical experience includes work within Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS), Bravehearts (supporting children and adults affected by sexual abuse), disability services, and employment support programs. She has also delivered parenting groups and individual family support at the University of Queensland’s Parenting and Family Support Centre. Lize also provides professional supervision to postgraduate psychology students and to psychologists wishing to obtain clinical endorsement. <image:title>Sonya Holder - Sonya Holder (Errington)</image:title>
<image:caption>Clinical Psychologist, BSc (Psych) (Hons), MPsych (Clin), MAPS Sonya is a clinical psychologist who completed her Master of Psychology (Clinical) at the University of the Sunshine Coast. She has experience in a diverse range of clinical settings, including private practice, persistent pain services, tertiary and school institutions and alcohol and drug services. Sonya is passionate about assisting individuals with a range of difficulties, including depression, anxiety, stress, addictions, trauma, and relationship difficulties. She also is passionate about using her experience from working in a persistent pain clinic, to achieve positive outcomes for clients experiencing chronic pain. Sonya has a special interest in chronic pain management, with a focus on managing the unhelpful thoughts, emotions and behaviours that accompany the discomfort of persistent pain. This has been shown to help with more effectively coping with pain and potentially reducing the intensity of pain. Gambling, drug, alcohol and other addiction counselling is also an area Sonya has a keen interest in. Most people have habit-forming tendencies, however some of us are susceptible to developing an addiction to a substance or unhealthy behaviour due to genetic factors, mental health issues or environmental factors. Sonya helps her clients take control of their addiction and ultimately overcome it by determining the cause, its triggers and any indicators of relapse behaviour. Unresolved emotional life experiences quite often need to be explored to effectively overcome unhealthy cycles or patterns of behaviour. Sonya is also available to assist those seeking domestic violence (DV) counselling. Contact the practice and ask for a consultation with Sonya if you or someone you know would like to speak with a psychologist about an abusive relationship. Sonya is committed to creating a non-judgmental and welcoming environment and enjoys studying human behaviour and mental processes to formulate how they affect clients' lives and to help resolve issues. To learn more about Sonya or to book an appointment, please contact us on (07) 5479 3538. She is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA) and is a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA). She is also experienced with the workers compensation and veterans affairs systems.</image:caption>

Lalitha is passionate about child and youth psychology, the parenthood period and supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions. She has experience providing counselling and assessment to individuals with neurodevelopmental condition/s (such as Autism and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) throughout the lifespan. During counselling, Lalitha draws from a range of modalities including cognitive-behavioural therapy(CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and schema therapies, and her therapeutic interventions are informed by attachment-based approaches such as the Circle of Security. She also incorporates creative techniques involving art, play and music where appropriate. Lalitha takes a developmentally sensitive approach to working with young people, tailoring her approach to the child’s age and developmental stage. She aims to support young people across settings by working in partnership with a young person’s parents and teachers. Additionally, Lalitha provides therapeutic support to adults experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns. In addition to her clinical work, Lalitha has experience working in psychology research and teaching in the higher education sector. Her work experiences have included University tutoring and lecturing, supervising student research and being a research assistant. <image:caption>Registered Psychologist, Clinical Psychology Registrar Josh is a registered psychologist and clinical psychology registrar, who completed his clinical training at the Cairnmillar Institute in Melbourne. Josh is an empathic, open, and warm psychologist, who provides a compassionate space free from judgement. Josh has experience working in a range of diverse settings, including tertiary mental health, headspace, and private practice. He values each persons uniqueness and experience, understanding that these play a significant role in shaping a persons current way of being and relating. Although Josh works across the lifespan and welcomes those of all ages, he has a strong interest in working with young people aged 12-25. His experience extends to individuals who reside in the out of home care sector, or those linked with the criminal justice system. Josh draws from a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). However, he recognises that a client centred, flexible and relationship-focused approach leads to the best outcomes. Josh understands that the idea of therapy can be daunting. Recognising this, he works with people in a way that is collaborative and gentle. However, he also empowers people to move outside of their comfort zone, knowing that this is often the crux of making meaningful change.
