Joshua Hindle
Registered Psychologist, Clinical Psychology Registrar
Josh is a registered psychologist and clinical psychology registrar, who completed his clinical training at the Cairnmillar Institute in Melbourne. Josh is an empathic, open, and warm psychologist, who provides a compassionate space free from judgement.
Josh has experience working in a range of diverse settings, including tertiary mental health, headspace, and private practice. He values each persons uniqueness and experience, understanding that these play a significant role in shaping a persons current way of being and relating.
Although Josh works across the lifespan and welcomes those of all ages, he has a strong interest in working with young people aged 12-25. His experience extends to individuals who reside in the out of home care sector, or those linked with the criminal justice system.
Josh draws from a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). However, he recognises that a client centred, flexible and relationship-focused approach leads to the best outcomes.
Josh understands that the idea of therapy can be daunting. Recognising this, he works with people in a way that is collaborative and gentle. However, he also empowers people to move outside of their comfort zone, knowing that this is often the crux of making meaningful change.
