Paul Neumann

Clinical Psychologist, BSc (Psych), MPsych (Clin)

Paul is a registered Clinical Psychologist with a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Deakin University. He has 15 years of experience working across public, private and tertiary education sectors including inpatient units, private practice, adolescent specific programs, University clinics and university lecturing.

Paul’s approach to therapy is that of helping clients better understand the dynamics underlying their condition, so that they can be empowered to make the changes they want to make in their lives.

Our mental health is often impacted by a combination of external factors, and internal factors that we are not always aware of. By developing an understanding of what these factors are, and why they are impacting us, we not only grow in understanding of ourselves, but also in what we can do to make changes. This approach by Paul aims to empower clients to be more aware and in control of their mental health so that they can make a better path forward.

Paul’s training is based in Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Psycho-dynamic therapy, and Family Systems work. He has extensive experience working with adolescents and young adults who present with issues such as Depression, Anxiety, and various social and interpersonal issues. He has also worked extensively with high functioning adult clients with complex interpersonal dynamics such as couples work, personal development, and business specific issues.

Paul is a board approved supervisor with Clinical endorsement.
